The 21st of September 2024 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and we would love for you to be a part of it.

Events

Ceremony at St. Adalbert Church

Wedding 2PM-3PM

Our ceremony will take place at the enchanting St. Adalbert Church in Pittsburgh, PA. Nestled in the heart of Southside Pittsburgh, the church offers a meaningful backdrop for our union. While attending Duquesne, we both lived very close by and would often walk by and look at the church's beauty. Neither of us knowing that one day we would get married there. Please refer to the location section below for comprehensive directions and additional details. We can't wait to share this beautiful moment with you in such a significant setting!

Reception at Duquesne University Power Center Ballroom

Cocktail hour 5PM-6PM

Our cocktail hour will take place in the Shepperson Suite, adjacent to the ballroom. Refreshments and Hors d'Oeuvres will be provided.

Dinner & Dancing 6PM-10PM

Dinner and the reception will be in the Duquesne University Power Center Ballroom. The ballroom is situated near the center of Duquesne's campus and offers stunning views of downtown Pittsburgh. We're so excited to watch the sun set over our favorite city in the world, surrounded by the people we love. Dinner service will begin around 6PM. Following dinner, we will have a night full of dancing and fun. Please refer to the location section below for additional details.

How we met

In 2017 we met on a mountain in Sugarloaf, Maine. We were on the annual ski club spring break trip. Over the course of a week in the mountains we got to know each other little by little. When the trip ended we both knew it wouldn't be our last together. Back at Duquesne we continued to grow closer. As the semester ended Phil went back to Scranton and Anna to Charleroi. After Phil paid a visit to Anna's hometown, he invited her to meet his family on vacation in Fripp Island, SC. This is where our love started to blossom in earnest. From the snow capped mountains to the salty shores our love deepened and flourished, paving the way for an enduring bond that led us here, ready to embark on our greatest adventure yet: a lifetime together as partners in love and companionship.

Getting to Pittsburgh

If you will be driving to Pittsburgh for our wedding, we recommend simply using Google Maps. Please see the How do I get there section

If you'll be flying in, Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is your best choice. Situated just 25 minutes west of the city, it offers a convenient gateway to our celebration. Upon arrival, transportation to your hotel or our wedding venue is a breeze, with taxis, Uber, or Lyft readily available.

If you're making the journey to Pittsburgh from Philadelphia, we highly recommend considering Amtrak as a great alternative to driving. Amtrak offers daily service connecting the two cities, providing a scenic and stress-free travel experience. Not only can it often be more cost-effective when you factor in tolls and fuel costs, but you'll also have the opportunity to relax and take in the picturesque landscapes of Pennsylvania along the way. Sit back, enjoy the journey, and even catch up on work or simply unwind during your comfortable train ride.
